Early Rider Bella Velio 10 months - 2 years

Early Rider live up to their name with the Bella Velio! Designed to take full advantage of early years developement from just 10 months building strength, balance and coordination.

The Velio Bella actively encourages small children to engage their new found skills while providing just the right amount of support they need. Vintage west coast styling completes the package with a beautiful wooden frame and retro white wall tyres.

The Early Rider Velio Bella is a first ride on balance bike with two spherical wheels, the front is held in a fixed position and the rear can tilt. The tilting rear wheel creates a balance control system that slows a child's fall giving them time to coordinate, correct and balance. The amount of support provided can be adjusted simply by turning the bezel on the back, tighten it up for a stiffer setting as they build confidence. An included rear handle fits into the back of the frame so you can push and steer the Velio during their early days.

Years of design, refinement and excruciating detail have gone into the Early Rider Velio. The spherical wheels mean there is no tipping point providing gentle, radial instability that very small children can engage with. Your child sits low slung on the frame, this keeps the centre of gravity low, feet close to the floor and condifence levels up. There are two heights of seat pad included and they're adjustable fore and aft. Soft touch tyres combined with low friction sealed bearings make for a silky smooth rolling ride. Super light, stylish and strong birch plywood frame with walnut veneer keeps the entire package weight down at just 2.8Kg.

All this talk of development and design is great, but.... wow does the Velio look like heaps of fun to ride!! Two wheels, it's the only way.

About Early Rider: Founded in 2005 by Andy Loveland who built the first Early Rider wooden balance bike in his shed. Since then Early Rider have been dedicated to getting children out riding bikes and connecting with their surroundings. They believe riding bikes shouldn't be a milestone or simply a means to get from A to B but a vehicle for adventure, a reason to shun screen time and inactivity. The kids bike industry is full of marketing waffle, genderisation, baskets, tassels, cartoon characters. Early Rider reject this path simply building awesome bikes.... in kids sizes. Motivation is precious when it comes to children, in making bikes fit for purpose, age appropriate and fit for the environments children will be riding in Early Rider aim to inspire confidence at every stage. There's no better way to connect with the world around us than to get riding a bike.
